Marketing and Communications Intern

The Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District (MTD) is seeking a Marketing and Communications Intern. This position will work closely with the Marketing Manager, Outreach Coordinator, and Customer Service team.

Experience Requirements

Suitable candidates must have a desire to learn and instincts to identify opportunities to assist the District in meeting its marketing, communications, and customer service goals. 

Preferred candidates are proficient in Microsoft Office, social media, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, and/or Illustrator). The ideal candidate will have experience with video editing as well.


Duties may include, but are not limited to, content creation for print and digital, drafting copy for materials, providing social media support for Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Medium/Reddit, photographing facilities/buses/events, editing/prep of passenger information including shelter boards, assisting with design and content of the schedule book, event groundwork and staffing, identifying opportunities to communicate with students, and other duties as assigned.

Other Information

Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
