Community Invited to Share Feedback on Route Changes at Upcoming Public Meetings
MTD will be holding an annual Public Hearing to showcase proposed changes to the service and take in community feedback. In addition to the customary Public Hearing at Illinois Terminal, scheduled for Thursday, June 6th from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, MTD is excited to announce an additional meeting at the Urbana City Council Chambers on Thursday, May 30th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. There is no formal presentation, so attendants are encouraged to stop by at any time during the meetings. Holding multiple meetings at different locations and times creates an exciting opportunity to reach a greater segment of the community and make the engagement process more accessible.
MTD’s public meetings are scheduled each spring to offer guidance for the new service year, which will begin on August 11, 2019. At the hearing, interested parties can share their feedback and suggestions with MTD Staff. Comments will be collected on Fall 2019 service improvements as well as other service feedback. The final version of service changes will be published on MTD’s website, social media, and in the upcoming 2019-2020 edition of the Maps & Schedules book.
