Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Project Goal

The Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District (MTD) has established a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program in accordance with regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), 49 CFR Part 26. MTD has received Federal financial assistance from the Department of Transportation, and as a condition of receiving this assistance, MTD has signed an assurance that it will comply with 49 CFR Part 26. It is the policy of MTD to ensure that DBEs have an equal opportunity to receive and participate in DOT-assisted contracts.

MTD has established a proposed project goal of 2.31% for DBE participation for the Hydrogen Fuel Cell Buses & Infrastructure Project as a reasonable target for the percentage of applicable contracts. Any person desiring further information regarding the rationale for this goal should contact the MTD office at 1101 East University Avenue, Urbana, Illinois, 61802-2009 during normal business hours.

The public may view these goals as well as the District’s DBE program for 30 days from this publication date (through October 20, 2018) at the MTD office during normal business hours. The District will accept public comments on the goal for a period of 45 days from this publication date (through November 4, 2018). Comments may be sent to the MTD office. Public comments will also be accepted by the U.S. Department of Transportation during the same period.
