The process of completing MCORE construction is lengthy and not without disruptions; however, the end result will greatly improve mobility for everyone. This busy corridor serves bicyclists, pedestrians, cars, and buses in high volumes. Overall, MCORE will enhance mobility choices, with improvements to pedestrian access routes, bicycle lanes, transit efficiency, and vehicle flow.

MCORE Projects 4 and 5 aim to increase the utilization and efficiency of this corridor through updated infrastructure (new and repaired pavement and sidewalks, new pavement markings, replacement of storm and sanitary sewers, and enhancements to bus stops and bicycle facilities). These projects will also bring major improvements to ADA accessibility throughout the area.

Detailed reroute announcements are available on MTD’s website and can be found on our Reroute page; detailed information and updates on MCORE will also posted on our website. Riders are encouraged to sign up for a free MTD account to create customized SMS and/or email alerts when changes are made to their favorite routes.

MTD would like to thank our passengers for their patience during this project; what may be a temporary delay for trips today will be a long-lasting improvement for thousands of commutes for years to come.
