MTD is looking for Summer Help! Summer Help applicants must be at least 16 years of age.
Our Summer Help employees will be assigned to a specific department(s) to complete various tasks based on need, including landscaping, moving boxes and furniture, light building repairs, and organizational projects. Hours will be determined based on the department assignment, the supervisor’s needs, and the employee’s schedule.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning buildings, inside and outside
- Landscaping, such as planting, mowing, weeding, and/or watering
- Light facilities work, such as painting
- Moving furniture and boxes
- Completing organizational projects in an office or parts room
- Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands
Position functions in indoor and outdoor settings, including a maintenance / bus garage and various office buildings. Employee must be able to use a variety of equipment and tools for up to 8 hours per day, up to 5 days per week. Physical requirements include stooping, kneeling, bending, standing, squatting/crouching, crawling/kneeling, pushing/pulling, climbing and descending ladders and stairs, reaching above shoulders, and lifting and transporting heavy objects such as equipment. Position requires ability to talk and hear; use vision to read printed materials and make repairs; arm, hand, and finger dexterity to operate tools and access information.
This is considered a Medium-Work position, and employee must exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force frequently Employee must possess the ability to move heavier weights as needed with assistance and/or the proper equipment.
Work Environment
The work environment involves exposure to conditions generally found in an office setting within a shared workspace. The noise level is quiet to moderate. There are frequent interruptions to this position’s workflow with moderate foot traffic. There is an expectation to hold and attend meetings on a regular basis.
Wage: $16.00/per hour
