Illinois Terminal is MTD’s multimodal facility in downtown Champaign located at 45 E. University Ave., Champaign. It opened in 1999, along with its fourth floor CityView Event & Meeting Center. The Illinois Terminal project kickstarted the redevelopment of downtown Champaign, resulting in the vibrant, inviting city center that Champaign enjoys today.

Revenue-neutral and fully leased since its opening, Illinois Terminal serves a dynamic cross-section of East Central Illinois. MTD passengers & employees, community members, passenger rail & intercity bus riders, students, business travelers, downtown residents, and visitors to our area all pass through Illinois Terminal every day.
