Full UI Service Levels Resume Friday, August 22
MTD is happy to remind passengers that our full University of Illinois service levels resume on Friday, August 22. This means that most routes will serve stops every 10, 20, or 30 minutes. Because of significant changes that have been made to the 1/100 Yellow and 2/20 Red near Market Place Mall, passengers are encouraged to review updated maps and schedules before traveling.
These changes have given MTD the opportunity to provide the community with additional, improved service to Champaign Walmart, Urbana Meijer, and the Champaign-Urbana Public Health District, as well as the Ashland Park Subdivision in Champaign and the Southridge and Myra Ridge Subdivisions in Urbana.
Again this year, additional service will be provided on Thursday evening, August 21. The full 220 Illini Evening will operate from 6 pm to midnight only on Thursday evening to provide safe transportation to new student events.
MTD looks forward to providing enhanced mobility and connectivity for residents across our community. If you have questions or need help planning a trip, please call us at 217.384.8188. We’re here to help!
